A Message from Our President

Dear CWC Members,

Welcome to a new Carolina Women’s Club program year!

It is an honor and privilege to serve as your President for 2026–2027. As we begin this next chapter together, I am excited about what lies ahead and grateful for the strong foundation built by those who came before us.

Fifteen years ago, nine visionary women launched what was then the Piper Glen Women’s Club with a simple but meaningful purpose — creating connection, friendship, philanthropy, and opportunities for women to engage with one another and the community. Today, CWC continues that legacy stronger than ever.

As we celebrate our upcoming 15th Anniversary, we will honor our Founders, recognize prior Presidents, and celebrate the women whose leadership helped shape CWC into the organization we enjoy today.

This year, we remain focused on what makes CWC special:

💎 Friendship
💎 Philanthropy
💎 Social Connection
💎 Member Engagement
💎 Connection with Purpose

Whether attending a luncheon, joining a club, volunteering, or simply introducing yourself to someone new, every connection strengthens our community.

Thank you for your membership, your support, and your belief in what makes Carolina Women’s Club special.

The best of CWC is not behind us — it is what we continue building together.

With appreciation,

Catherine

President's Choice Fashion Show and Luncheon - a Huge Success!
Luncheon Collage

What a wonderful way to conclude another memorable Carolina Women’s Club season! Our President’s Choice Fashion Show and Luncheon at Ballantyne Country Club on May 20 was a tremendous success, bringing together members and guests for an afternoon filled with fashion, friendship, and philanthropy.

The beautiful venue provided the perfect setting, with each table featuring its own unique centerpiece and a delicious luncheon enjoyed by all. President Laurey Cosentino acknowledged that this year’s event drew the largest attendance ever, including a record number of prospective members and guests who joined us in celebrating summer with a fun coastal-attire themed fashion show.

Catherine Lewis addressed the crowd for the first time as incoming president, saying "As I look around this room today, I see something very special - a community built on friendship, philanthropy, and connection with purpose."

One of the highlights of the afternoon was our support of Dress for Success Charlotte. Members generously donated new and gently used handbags and jewelry, helping women in our community prepare for success in the workplace. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this meaningful cause.

Special thanks also go to Belk for partnering with us and providing the fashions featured in the show. Our talented member models brought the looks to life and delighted the audience with their enthusiasm and style. We encourage everyone to keep Belk in mind for future shopping excursions and thank them for helping make this event so special.

Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to outgoing President Laurey Cosentino for her leadership and service, and we warmly welcome incoming President Catherine Lewis. It was a fitting celebration of the friendships, generosity, and community spirit that make the Carolina Women’s Club such a special organization.

Marketing Communications Update

Please join us in welcoming Lorraine Harris, who has graciously agreed to serve as Assistant Vice President of Marketing Communications. Lorraine brings a strong technology background to the team, and we look forward to the expertise, creativity, and fresh perspective she will contribute in her new role.

As the Carolina Women’s Club prepares to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Terri and Lorraine are gathering stories, memories, and milestones that reflect the club’s remarkable journey. If you have a favorite memory, funny anecdote, or meaningful experience you'd like to share, we would love to hear from you.

We are also looking for a few volunteers to help us evaluate and strengthen the club’s social media presence. As we plan for the future, we’d appreciate your thoughts on questions such as:

  • Do you follow the club’s Facebook page?
  • If so, what do you enjoy most about it?
  • What additional content or features would you like to see?
  • Should we invite prospective members to follow and engage with our social media channels?

If you would like to share your ideas or volunteer to assist, please reach out. Your input will help us continue building awareness, engagement, and community as we enter this exciting anniversary year.

Connection with Purpose.

What an exciting moment for the Carolina Women’s Club as we open a brand-new season together. The year ahead is already sparkling with possibility, and our Membership Team is celebrating the incredible women—both returning and new—who make this community shine. Whether you’ve just moved to Charlotte, recently retired, are looking to expand your circle of friends, or are simply ready to connect with inspiring women, you are stepping into a club that is welcoming, energized, and ready for its best season yet.

This year, we are doubling down on what makes CWC special: genuine connection, warm hospitality, friendship, philanthropy, and the joy of discovering a circle of supportive and inspiring women. We also celebrate our returning members whose continued involvement, friendships, and leadership help make CWC the vibrant organization it is today.

Our Membership Team is committed to helping every woman feel at home from day one, with personalized welcomes, thoughtful introductions, and opportunities to engage in activities that match individual interests. We are partnering closely with Clubs, Programs, and MarComm to help ensure communication is clear, onboarding is seamless, and every member has a front-row seat to the experiences that make our community thrive.

Together, we will keep our membership strong, our friendships growing, and our spirit vibrant. Here’s to a season filled with laughter, learning, shared purpose, and the kind of connections that make the Carolina Women’s Club a place women love to belong.

Calendar

No-Shows

We understand that plans can change unexpectedly, and we truly appreciate everyone's enthusiasm in signing up for CWC events. However, late cancellations and no-shows can make it difficult for hosts to manage reservations, seating, and event logistics, and may result in unnecessary costs for the Club or the event host.

We kindly encourage members to register only when reasonably certain they can attend and to keep cancellation deadlines in mind. If circumstances change, please notify the event host as soon as possible.

Your consideration helps us create smooth, enjoyable, and successful events for everyone. Thank you for supporting our hosts and fellow members.

Hosts Are Always Needed

Our Club thrives because of the energy, creativity, and involvement of our members. One of the best ways to contribute is by hosting an event.

Hosting doesn't have to be complicated. Whether it's a coffee gathering, lunch outing, game day, museum visit, or special interest activity, hosting is a wonderful way to connect with fellow members while helping keep our calendar active and engaging.

When you see a canceled event on the calendar, it is often because a host was not available. The more members who step forward to host, the more opportunities we can offer for friendship, fun, learning, and connection.

If you've ever considered hosting, we encourage you to give it a try. Your participation helps ensure a vibrant and welcoming experience for all members.

Cancellation Policy

All payments are final. Cancellation made after registration closes will not be refunded or credited.  Members who cancel prior to close of registration will receive a club credit. We do not provide refunds or credits for membership dues or donations.

If you have any questions about CWC and the many activities we offer, please do not hesitate to contact us.
