A Message from Our President

Dear CWC Members,

As we enter November, I continue to reflect on the remarkable journey of Carolina Women's Club - honoring our past, strengthening our foundation, and embracing the opportunities ahead.

Strengthening Our Foundation
In the coming weeks, members will receive proposed updates to our Bylaws for review and vote. Updates to our Operating Standards, Operating Procedures, and Code of Conduct will follow. These efforts reflect our commitment to sound governance, transparency, and responsible stewardship.

Celebrating Our History and Leadership
Our September 16th celebration honoring CWC's Founders marked the beginning of a year-long recognition of our history. In the months ahead, we will celebrate the unique contributions of our nine Past Presidents and their leadership teams. Each provided important building blocks that shaped the organization we are today.

A Season of Celebration and Giving
Mark your calendars for our December 16th Holiday Luncheon! Come enjoy the festive atmosphere of the season, holiday shopping, and the wonderful fellowship of CWC friends.
As we prepare to celebrate, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for the generosity and compassion our members continue to demonstrate. Your willingness to give, serve, and support our charitable partners, including Safe Alliance, reflects the very heart of CWC. Every act of kindness, large or small, is another spark of hope for women and families in our community.

Stewardship and the Spirit of CWC
Stewardship continues to guide your 2026–2027 leadership team. Together, we honor those who came before us while building a meaningful legacy for those who will follow. Ladies, thank you for extending your grace and generosity to the communities we serve. I appreciate every spark you bring to CWC through friendship, leadership, and service. To borrow a sentiment from one of my favorite poets, Maya Angelou, you make me proud to spell my name WOMAN.

With appreciation,
Catherine

Honoring the Jewels of Our Club
As the fall season approaches and the brilliance of autumn colors sweeps across the landscape, we are reminded of how beauty emerges in layers—season after season, year after year. It is the perfect moment to pause and honor the brilliance within our own community, the jewels who have shaped the Carolina Women’s Club for the past fifteen years.

For fifteen remarkable years, the Carolina Women’s Club has shined through the radiance of its members. Each friendship has added a new sparkle, each philanthropic effort has strengthened our purpose, and each social gathering has polished the crown we proudly share. As we celebrate this milestone year, we honor the women who make our club luminous—the jewels in our crown.

Your compassion, generosity, and connection have built a legacy of service and sisterhood that continues to illuminate our community. And as we move forward into this new season, the Membership Committee is committed to deepening that legacy. We are exploring fresh, meaningful ways to engage more members, strengthen connections, and welcome new women into this amazing organization. Our celebration of you—our members—continues not only in reflection, but in action, as we work to ensure every woman feels valued, included, and inspired.

Today, we celebrate not only where we have been, but the bright, beautiful future we will continue to build together. We salute you—our members—and the magnificent beauty that shines through each of you. You are the brilliance of this club, and your light continues to guide our way forward.

Philanthropy newsletter banner fall
Hello Ladies!
November is a busy month for CWC Philanthropy, and we have some wonderful opportunities to give back to our community while preparing for the holiday season!

Upcoming Philanthropy Dates:
November 4 – Philanthropy Meeting (Wednesday instead of our usual Thursday)
November 9 – Serving Lunch at Safe Alliance
November 18 – Bright Blessings
November 19 – Promising Pages
December 1 – Holiday Decorating at Safe Alliance
December 3 - Philanthropy Meeting with Holiday Celebration and craft for the Safe Alliance kids.
December 16 – CWC Holiday Luncheon ~ Together we Shine!

We will be supporting Safe Alliance at the Holiday Luncheon - Let's start collecting those gift cards! We are asking our ladies to bring Walmart or Target gift cards in denominations of $10, $20, or $25 to the Holiday luncheon. Please purchase gift cards only from Walmart or Target, as both stores have pharmacies, an important resource for the women and families Safe Alliance serves. If you prefer, you may write a check to Safe Alliance instead of a gift card donation.

Our Luncheon will also be hosting wonderful vendors offering their treasures for you to purchase for yourselves or others. I look forward to seeing everyone in their festive wear!

With grace and appreciation,

Tammy Campbell

CWC Clubs: The Experiences That Bring Us Together

Since September, our CWC Clubs have been busy bringing members together through a variety of activities, events, and shared experiences. Beyond the activities themselves, it's the connections we make and the friendships we develop that add so much to our Club experiences. Whether we're enjoying a game, discussing a book, sharing a meal, exploring the arts, or volunteering together, every activity provides an opportunity to connect. Often, it’s the conversations, laughter, and friendships that stay with us long after the event is over.

But all of these wonderful events don’t just magically come together. Behind every Club activity is a Chair who helps make it all happen. From planning events and coordinating schedules, to finding hosts, managing registrations, and keeping the calendar updated, our Chairs put so much time and effort into creating opportunities for members to get together. Much of this work takes place behind the scenes, but it plays an important role in keeping our Clubs active and engaging. I want to recognize and thank our Chairs for their commitment, creativity, and the time they give to making these experiences possible for all of us. The next time you attend a Club event, please take a moment to thank the Chair who helped make it happen.

As we continue through the Club year, I encourage everyone, whether you're a long-time member or just getting started, to explore something new, introduce yourself to someone you haven't met, and enjoy all that our Clubs have to offer. You never know where a new experience or a new friendship might lead!

Web Tip of the Month: Using the "How To" section of the website

Have you ever visited the How To section of our website? It is one of the helpful web pages under Member Resources.

The How To... section shares lots of tips for using the website, managing your membership and participating in club activities. There is even a special section with resources for those of you who are club chairs! If you have a question, the answer may be right there in the How To section! If you need to update your member profile, change your profile picture, order a name tag or have questions about registering for an event, this page offers you the answers you need. I hope you find it useful!

If you have a question and the answer is not on the page, let me know! We can add the answer you were looking for.
